La nascita di un museo. Il Museo etiope "G. Massaia" di Frascati

This small volume tells the history of this distinctive museum that is home to many materials from Ethiopia, starting from those collected by cardinal Guglielmo Massaia while working as a missionary between 1846 and 1879.

Opened with the name Museo Massajano in 1909, the Museum is located in the missionary friar’s apartment in the Convent of the Capuchin Friars in Frascati, where he stayed when he came back from Africa.

The second part of the volume contains an inventory of the exhibits and the index cards of the most valuable pieces.
